Guys, i installed VLC player not i m not able to hear sound, coz i have OSS installed, What shoud i do to work OSS with VLC ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Until this is resolved, you can use esd or artsd as a workaround. What about Mplayer or Ogle or Xine?. I don't use ogle. But...

Until this is resolved, you can use esd or artsd as a workaround.

100% CPU usage in wine

I just updated to 3.99.4a.

I'm using foobar2000+wine most of the time.

Since this update wine uses all available CPU time when playing a file -- this also causes distortions in sound sometimes.

It worked fine with the previous version.

Any hints? (I can use esd as a workaround for now)
