Re: LynxTWO presented as multiple stereo devices

Hi cesium, Thanks for the info. I'm going to investigate your Option 1 to begin with, as that appears to be the only way to get bit-accurate behaviour. Provided that Portaudio plays nice, it shouldn't be tooooo complicated for my application. I've also sent a PM to summers to see how feasible it is ...

Re: LynxTWO presented as multiple stereo devices

Hi Cesium. I use my TWO-B for hi-fi purposes, and my application is to do realtime loudspeaker crossover processing. So I'm looking to take in a digital stereo pair as input, perform the filtering, and then send the data to multiple (nominally 6. but ideally more) outputs. Processing will be in inte...

LynxTWO presented as multiple stereo devices

Hi all, I'm trying to write an application using Portaudio under Linux/amd64 for my Lynx TWO-B card. I want to stream stereo data in, process it, and stream 8 channels of data out. The design of Portaudio means it is by far the simplest if you are reading/writing data to and from a single device. Ho...

Re: OSS 4.2-b2000 with a Lynx TWO-B

Hi cesium, thanks for your reply. As I said, I'm using the binary package, is definitely not in there. I have a Gentoo machine with a lynx two card in it, and OSS works on that. I had a look, and the linux package includes some lynx two-specific files. There's a lynxtwo.c file in there, amongst othe...

Re: OSS 4.2-b2000 with a Lynx TWO-B

Oh, and just to say, I am using the binary package, not building from source. I know lynx drivers aren't open source.

OSS 4.2-b2000 with a Lynx TWO-B

Hi there,

I'm trying to use OSS on FreeBSD 7.2-RELEASE with my Lynx TWO-B card. However, OSS 4.2 build 2000 doesn't seem to include the lynxtwo driver - ossdetect doesn't detect any valid cards. I'm a bit of a newbie though, so I might be wrong about things.

Is this a proper bug?

Thanks!
