Re: starting ossxmix in a small window ?

Thanks for that! I found a solution without it: tightvnc in a resolution of 1600x1000 is large enough for me to get into the box and have access to ossxmix.

Re: Can it be louder

Re: high pitched squeel unless I check "mix1-mute" help?

Thanks for the reply. You asked for this output but note that I first ran ossxmix and muted the offending mixer, then ran "savemixer" as root so it survives a reboot. # ossmix Selected mixer 0/High Definition Audio 0x10ec0887 Known controls are: jack.green.mode <mix2|mix3|mix4|mix5|mix8|in...

high pitched squeel unless I check "mix1-mute" help?

I have a Gigabyte G41-M-ES2L with onboard Intel HD audio. When I'm using oss as my sound driver, there is an annoying high pitch beeeeeep sound at all times until I click the "mix1-mute" button via ossxmix. I'd like to understand more about this. Do I have it setup incorrectly?

starting ossxmix in a small window ?

I have an Arch-i686 box outputting to an SDTV via the s-video out. Max resolution is 1024x768. I can't run ossxmix on the box because the window it draws is much larger than my desktop. Is there a way I can run it specifying a window size that will work with my small desktop?
