From what I could understand, the main issue here that you are experiencing is nothing other than the fact that ossscores are handling the device creation apparently. And since it is a framework pseudo driver, only drivers which are actual can work. Audiodetach won’t work in this case, I’m afraid.

If what I remember is true, there was a four band equalizer which was RIAA curve. It usually came along with the virtual mixer Soft OSS. If you know how to tweak well, then you can definitely go on with what you are intending to do here with this system.

Well, I too am having the exact same issue as only spdout0 seems to sound. From what I could learn, this problem is simply inherent with that of ALC1200. Until, they come up with a firmware upgrade or something, I am not sure anything much can be done about it.

I too had been thinking which file is it exactly that is played when OSS test is run. However, one thing I do remember is that it was composed by George Yohng and could very well be a reason why it resembles the ‘Kiss from a Rose’ as you have stated.
