Re: oss crashed after install?

Update: nevermind, I got it working.
For some reason the first restart didn't do it, but it works now!

Re: oss crashed after install?

Has anyone tried installing oss-linux-4.2-2010_amd64.deb on Linux Mint 17 (Cinnamon)? I'm getting the same errors as in the first posts of this thread (that's how I found it). Problem is, it doesn't look like you can get rid of PulseAudio. Simply uninstalling it will screw with the boot and system w...

Re: [SOLVED] Installation Error (No kernel modules found)

My bad...I'm running 3.13, amd64.
oss-linux-4.2-2009_amd64.deb doesn't work with it as a number of symbols changed their definitions in 3.13 kernel.
New binaries should be up on the soon, so I don't think a new thread is necessary.

Re: [SOLVED] Installation Error (No kernel modules found)

Hmm...I assumed I need the patch because the deb version wasn't working for me. It was actually returning the same error as above.

Re: Linux v3.14 compatibility patch

Sorry, newb question...what do I do with it?

I've always been installing the driver by running the *.deb installer.

Thank you

That worked! Thank you so much!!!
Didn't know there was a GUI control, I've been using command line controls up until now.

[SOLVED] LynxTwo-C with OSS (no sound)

I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this. I've been trying to get some sound of my LynxTwo-C for quite some time now...it's been working fine until I reinstalled the OS. Nothing wrong with the card, it still works in Windows. So, what I have is Linux Mint 14 x64 and the oss-linux...
