Recompiling of OSS4

Postby Blainflainer » Sat Apr 07, 2018 11:09 am

Firstly apologies for my english. I am relatively new to Linux and especially Arch, which I am running currently.
I am very interested in Audio and I am trying to setup a good Linuxbased playbacksystem using Arch (rt-kernel), OSS4, Deadbeef (with Petrovs OSS4 plugin). My problem is that In OSSXmix there is only 3 settings under vmix0-src (fast, high and off). I would like to have PX production quality (with extra precision (prod quality with extra precision) enabled. After surfing around the net, I came across a solution (in this forum actually) viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3543&start=30 that stated that it is relatively simple to recompile OSS4 using ABS. ABS is replaced by ASP is it not? I have tried to find some guidelines on how to use ASP. Information for beginners is relatively sparse. I have never tried to recompile anything. Can someone in this forum help my in the right direction? Greetings!
