Thanks so much for the new release!

Unfortunately my new sound card does not work with OSS :/
Neither with ALSA...
It's a PowerColor DEVIL HDX with the new high-end C-Media CM8888 chip. Any chances it could get OSS support?

Thanks for the update!

Quick question, has the 32-bit (x86) Linux TAR version been uploaded yet?
The link doesn't work for me:

Hello,
very excited about the update however the FreeBSD 11 (amd64) version is not available for download as well.
Download link is broken:

Sorry for the newb question. I've had my wonderful lynxone in storage since the death of kmixer with vista. I saw this announcement and figured would be the perfect time to rebuild my music machine to use the lynxone again.
I've now spent 12+ hours trying to get this pkg to work on FreeBSD 11 with no success yet. I have the lynxone driver sources and they build... I can see other audio devices on the system but no lynxone, hard hang if I soundon...
So... I'm not tied to any particular distro, I'm a newb that's looking to output some music. Would it be possible to point to some proven instructions for any distro to get oss 4.2 working with a sound card? Today I'm afraid I am following fragmented instructions that are both new and old.
I'm really excited by the potential but surprised how difficult it is to get a sound package to work.
Thanks!

I maintain oss AUR (Arch User Repository) packages for Arch Linux which should 'just work' using the standard instructions for installing AUR packages:
