Hi all,
I've a Creative Labs Audigy model no:.sb0570 chipset CA0106-WATLF. I thought this one work on Solaris 10 (Sparc). But it doesn't. Actually OSS detects the soundcard, but I just get noises as soon as the driver is loaded. What am I missing?
Thanks
Fjodor

You should go for the Audigy2 ZS device. Not all Audigy CA106 devices work on Solaris - we have the original AudigLS and SBLive 5.1 and SBLive 7.1 working.

I have the same card (SoundBlaster Audigy Value) - Board reads model SB0570,
and have the same problem under Solaris 10 x86, when sound is played, all is audible
is a very loud hiss/white noise sound.
A bug in the driver perhaps? now that I can see numerous people have reported the same thing.

Same problem on x86
Yeah, just wanted to say that I am having exactly the same problem on x86. White noise.
Funnily enough I do think that it actually worked the very 1st time that I installed it, until I rebooted my machine. At that point it failed and has failed ever since.
