OSS not working with VLC

Guys, i installed VLC player not i m not able to hear sound, coz i have OSS installed,
What shoud i do to work OSS with VLC ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to get the OSS 3.99.4a version - it works there.

Luckily the version of OSS i m using is the latest i.e 3.99.4a. But still its not working with VLC ? any ideas ?

Until this is resolved, you can use esd or artsd as a workaround.

Until this is resolved, you can use esd or artsd as a workaround.
What about Mplayer or Ogle or Xine?.

I don't use ogle. But mplayer always has worked and since the latest version also xine works for me.
