starting ossxmix in a small window ?
I have an Arch-i686 box outputting to an SDTV via the s-video out. Max resolution is 1024x768. I can't run ossxmix on the box because the window it draws is much larger than my desktop. Is there a way I can run it specifying a window size that will work with my small desktop?
Re: starting ossxmix in a small window ?
Try the attached ossxmix. Use '-g' switch (e.g. "ossxmix -g 1024x768") to set ossxmix size.

Oops, I attached the wrong version earlier.

Re: starting ossxmix in a small window ?
Thanks for that! I found a solution without it: tightvnc in a resolution of 1600x1000 is large enough for me to get into the box and have access to ossxmix.

I have already installed it. Very convenient.
What is more, now I can see it in the system tray on the Gnome panel on Ubuntu 9.10 !
The standard one (oss-linux-4.2-2001_i386.deb) emerges in the system tray in Ubuntu 9.04, but, in Ubuntu 9.10, it does not emerge in the tray.
Thank you very much!!!
Re: starting ossxmix in a small window ?
I thought that issue was done a long time ago... I suspect this is because the gtk version used to compile ossxmix is different from the one used with Ubuntu 9.10, and there's an ABI compat issue (which shouldn't happen given same major lib version, but gtk2 is often buggy). Compiling the unmodified ossxmix from source will also give you a "correct" ossxmix.

Hello,
Is there a version of this utility that works with FreeBSD. Or maybe a patch for the source code?
Thank you.
