I'm running FreeBSD 6.2 and my soundcard is a Audigy LS
6.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE #3: Sun Feb 25 17:59:33 CET 2007
none0@pci0:11:0: class=0x040100 card=0x10061102 chip=0x00071102 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Creative Labs'
device = 'CA0106-DAT Audigy LS'
class = multimedia
subclass = audio
Do you need a dump or something else ?
I used a RC of the oss 4.0 before upgrading to the last release.
Can i find the old releases in some place here ?
I am at your disposition if you are any question,
sincerely yours,
Neo.

Hi,
I have no such problems with OSS v4.0 on my AudigyLS (its' SB Model 0570).
I would recommend that you reboot the system (or replug the soundcard into a different slot)
best regards

I installed the last release again, i'm trying to reproduce the problem but it's not yet done.
I ran successfully the rc2 without the need of replug my soundcard, but with the last release, i crashed 3 times.
I'm investigating on this problem, trying to know if this is my system or not,
Best Regards,
Neo.

I have replugged the soundcard into a different slot and done a new fresh world and kernel.
For a while, I ran the rc2 without problems.
Then I have reinstalled the last release and ran xmms on a vmixer channel, the system has crashed.
Same test with mplayer on a vmixer channel, the system crashs.
I have edited installed_drivers for use softoss driver, i can run the last release like that.
It seems that vmix is crashing my system, I dont know why.
With softoss, the system runs fine but the soundcard device often get busied with modules unloadable, then reboot is needed.

Hi,
We announced OSS 4.0 Build 1002 and there are some fixes for VMIX.
Kindly download the 1002 buikd and tell me if you get any lockups?
