Overview
The oss2jack tool allows OSS based applications to use the jackd sound server daemon.
Advantages
Jack is an advanced sound server, which may have slightly lower latency than OSS. By giving jackd some additional configuration options, both oss2jack and jackd can also make use of the .asoundrc mixer and plugin settings.
