Hello,
I was reading
http://www.4front-tech.com/hpux.html
and wondering which one of these sound blaster cards are supported by that version of the driver :
sb0220
ct4830
SB0060
(all 3 sb live)
and if this audigy model is supported by that version
AUDIGY PCI MOD SB1394 ADVANCED HD
Thank you
Alessandro

Re: OSS 3.9.8f for HPUX 11i question
The card list which comes with the driver (download the package, and extract it. See Cards.lis and the pci ids modules.lis) doesn't provide a completely detailed list, but it probably includes some of the above (under "Sound Blaster Audigy/Audigy2", "Sound Blaster..." etc. - per modules.lis the pci ids checked are 1102,2 and 1102,4).
A bigger problem might be the annoying 'expiration date' nonsense 4front has. You may have to email them to see if you can get a working version of oss3.9.8.

Re: OSS 3.9.8f for HPUX 11i question
Thank you,
I'll try a test with one I should have somewhere myself.. and research more about the others before committing buying a card.
Any chance that the latest v4 could be compiled under 11i v1 ? (suppose it would make things more simple)

Only the SBLive! or the SB AUdigy/AUdigy2 are supported - we stopped supporting HPUX 11i for a number of years now since we lost access to the machines.

I too was wondering the same as to whether it was only me who was missing something in the card list that came along with the driver. I guess the card list is not complete in itself. Anyway, it would be really nice to see the most recent v4 getting compiled in 11i v1.

It's highly unlikely we'll port OSS v4 to HPUX ourselves unless its under a contract development. The sales are nonexistent to justify the effort to port it. However since OSS is opensource, we encourage other developers with time to look at porting OSSv4.
